Dropping like flies

Its been you & I from the start.
& it will always be you & I.
they said they were there for us.
they said they would never leave,

we had each others backs,

but when it come down to it..

they all turned their backs on us.

& quite frankly..
we dont care.

the people we thought we'd hate

to see walk out of our lives
we watched leave & we are just fine.
we're not bitter, we're not upset,

we just want to have a good time.

you're leaving, im leaving.

we have limited time.

why would we waste our time

being unhappy 

& caring about people

who dont care about us?

we were happy before we met you,

we can be happy after your gone.

if you cant make them happy,

let them be happy with someone else.

it makes no difference to us.

its not about who you've known the longest,
its about who has never let you down.
